The Caral Ride
2 days and a half / 2 nights / 2 riding days

The two-day riding tour of Caral offers you a travel through the time, in the heart of the most ancient, and today one of the most famous, of Peru : Caral. You ride near ancient villages, historical places, in the middle of the desert and on the wild beaches of the central coast of Peru. In the hacienda, you share the everyday life of the Paso horses owners and trainers.

Itinerary

Day 1
Your guide meet you in the afternoon at the Huacho bus station located at 260 km north of Lima. You go until the hacienda where you can visit the property with its Paso horses, its 1000 cows, its 3 hectares of grassy areas and its 3 lagoons. Dinner and night in the hacienda.

Day 2 – Caral – 5 to 6 riding hours
After breakfast, you begin your ride to Caral, the most ancient city of Peru, dated of 5000 years old. You cross the Huaura and Supe valleys, through the fields and the desert areas until the ancient road of Caral. You ride near the Lurihuasi and Miralla sites before to enter in the Caral sacred city. After visiting the ruins, you ride until the hacienda where you enjoy your night. Night in the hacienda.

Day 3 – Beach – 4 riding hours
Breakfast in the hacienda. Today, you ride in the Huaura valley to arrive to the Vegueta beach at the Bay where arrived on the century 19th Don José de San Martin who permitted to Peru to win its independency. You enjoy a long ride on the Tambo de Mora beach and then you visit the Vegueta museum of the lost city of Vichama. After visiting the Vichama site, you come back riding until the hacienda. Return to the Huacho bus station.
